Rachel Staples Guettler is an opera singer, vocal performance coach, and executive coach.  Rachel has been working in professional higher education administration and currently serves as the Director of Executive Programs Recruitment & Advising for the Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School managing a portfolio of degree programs consisting of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), the Presidents & Key Executives MBA (PKE), the Executive MBA (EMBA), and the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOD). Rachel is a candidate for the Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University.  Rachel holds a Masters degree of Music in Vocal Performance from California State University at Northridge.  She achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Bachelor of Science in International Affairs from Florida State University.

Rachel works with Dr. Bernice Ledbetter  at the Pepperdine University Center for Women in Leadership as guest lecturer and public speaking coach for the Masters of Science in Management and Leadership program.  Rachel is the owner of OperaTune Vocal Studio, serving the Greater Los Angeles and Ventura County areas as well as offering coaching sessions online worldwide since 2005.  Rachel has began being a Community Educator for the Los Angeles Opera in 2012.  Rachel has performed as an opera singer for the Lucent Dossier Experience.  Some of Rachel's previous employment includes being the Assistant Director of Admissions and Career Services in administration at AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts with campuses located in Los Angeles and New York City, a Sales and Marketing Executive for GMT Studios in Culver City, a seasonal producer and head stage manager for The Do Lab, and the Assistant to the General Managers (Robert and Margaret Galbraith) of the Opera Company of North Carolina.  Rachel is passionate about the performing arts and creating powerful presentations for a multitude of business settings and industries.  

Rachel has musically performed in a wide variety of settings from the classical stage to musical theatre, film soundtracks, and music venues around the world.  Rachel performed as the lead opera singer for the November 2018 Art At The Rendon performances of STORIES.  Rachel is a regular featured opera soloist for Valley Chamber Ensembles.  Rachel performed the role of Rosalinda in the production of Die Fledermaus for California State University Northridge Opera in Fall 2013.  She performed with the Los Angeles Opera Education & Community Programs in 2011 & 2012.  Rachel opened the 2012 Event Solution Spotlight Awards at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV singing an original operatic composition, which was performed to the electronic music of DJ Imagika Om.  Rachel was a featured soloist on Yoav Goren's Immediate Music project called Globus, which has tracks on a few different feature films.  Rachel opened the 2009 Downtown Los Angeles Fashion Week Runway Show with an operatic performance on the runway.  She performed with Florida State University Opera in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte in 2002 and Vacci's I Capuleti e i Montecchi in 2003.  Rachel performed in Puccini's Madame Butterfly and Bizet's Carmen with the North Carolina Opera Company in 2000 & 2001.  

Rachel teaches public speaking and coaches on how to build a powerful presentation for a multitude of business settings and industries.  Rachel also teaches all levels of students in all singing styles of vocal performance including classical, musical theatre, contemporary, rock, and country.  Rachel has a very unique approach to vocal coaching and music that intertwines classical technique with a fun, modern-day approach, encompassing physical movement and empowering affirmations to assist with mind/body/instrument awareness.  Rachel is a consultant for growing, strengthening, and advancing presentation skills.  Rachel is an advocate for performing arts industry.  Rachel is always on the hunt for more OPERAtunities.
